My fellow peers, I bring troubling news. The Stillwater High Command has forcibly "annexed" some of the land of Yliakum, and is forcing people to buy permits in order to mine on the land.
Such actions go against the spirit of freedom and liberty that the One is sworn to protect. They are oppressive and tyrannical. It is time to discuss what to do about this, with the serious possibility of declaring war against Stillwater. Guilds that I believe would ally with us in such a war would be the Bloodstone Brethren, the Way of the Hammer, Kore Irka Clan, Bounty Hunters and Diamond Claw.
It is my personal belief that we should make war against Stillwater, after having made alliances. This is an offence that we should not brook, an affront to freedom - and the One stands for freedom!
Angrily, Rodef Emet

Rodef, I'm with you, but you already know I prefer the "resistance" way. In any case we can't let them act in that manner, they are going against our freedom and we have to teach them something! We have to fight for our rights if this is the only way we can make them to respect.

If it is necessary, then it must be done. If the Ochtarchy compounds their moral failing by inflicting law on the people, and then not enforcing it, we have no choice but to act. I would personally find this distressing since Irec saved my life once when I was cursed. But if there is no alternative, and a coalition with a plausible chance of success can be forged, then I say we take our share of the spoils.

For what I understood they episodically ask platinium miners for a 'right to mine' fee. Many did a while ago (this chaotic enkidukai dude last) and were dealt for. It seems they cause very minor harm and are merely bandits, not the organized crime they claim to be. Beside, Bloodstone already took things in hand. They don't seem to me to have the 'Oppressor' profile (yet). We (as in we citizens of the Dome) should probably send the major lawful warrior guilds on them but getting directly involved will probably help in nothing but get us killed stupidly. They make some noise, but not enough in my sense to legitimate for us to wage an ideologic war against them.

I believe that their actions do justify making alliances and declaring war, because it is an attempt to restrict the rights of others and to bend others to their wills. However, I shall not take action until the guild has properly discussed this.

Peers, have we exhausted all other means? War is the last resort. Until I have more information, I will not cast a vote.

Fedelmid might be able to make an appeal to some of the trainee corps, which is allied. Before it comes to war I should try to sway them. Also, damn friggin' client...

I have been at a meeting in the aftermath of the attack. Many people were present, including representatives from the Way of the Hammer, the Society of Ways, the Bounty Hunters, Kore Irka Clan, and Ordo Phalanster. The possibility of war and the possibility of alliances between these guilds and ourselves were discussed. What do people think of this? I maintained that we would not commit to anything before a vote, but I also believe that ,as the matter is of some urgency, a vote might be shortened from a week to three days or so. What do people think of that? Another point is that Dramborleg had the idea that we might be able to scare Stillwater simply by having a united front. Again, comments?

When Jawir and Eardstapa arrived, it was quiet and they set about mining. Gonger and Neki were also there, discussing recent developments. Some time after Neki left, Aensor arrived, demanding Stillwater Mining permits. He produced a written order authorising Stillwater troops to "protect" those possessing permits. The order bore only the signatures of Irec (Stillwater Unifying General) and Aensor himself. A self-authorised exercise penalising innocent citizens. Jawir, Eardstapa and Gonger pointed out the illogic of this, and yes, Rodef, the word "tyranny" was used.
Gofis and Nedloh joined the party. Aensor was unmoved by reason and more than a little annoyed when Gonger pooped and cleaned his bottom with the Stillwater pamphlet. Naturally, negotiations rapidly deteriorated.
Aensor threatened, then attacked Eardstapa, provoking the others to retaliate. The battle was brief and bloody. No one survived Aensor's Red and Dark Way spells.

We may not be great warriors, or a mighty clan. But we are free and I for one do not wish to be bowed to anyone's tyranny. Better a dead lion than a live dog. I vote for war.

I have tried to distract him hitting with my fists, to allow others to casts their spells: I have chase him and then he killed me. Anyway I have some contacts in Elemental Light guild and they seems loyal toward me. I have only to speak with Elady then I can tell you more.
